Number Awareness - five in a row Math Gr 3-8

How to Play Number Awareness - five in a row Math Gr 3-8

The objective is to get five-in-a- row.  For a shorter game, you can set the objective to four in a row.

Players alternate turns.

On the player's turn, hit "New Clue" and pick any open number that satisfied the clue.  Cover that number with player's chosen colored tile.

The first person to get five in a row wins.

Bump Variation: you can  bump an opponent's piece off of a number.  You can also "king" or protect a number by putting a second piece on that number is a subsequent turn.  For example, if you really want to protect the number 25, you might put a piece on it for the clue "multiple of five".  On a subsequent turn, you may put a second piece on it for the clues "odd number" or "square number" or another "multiple of five".
